Biography

Comes from Námestovo,

where he was also provided with his basic music education at the Art School of Ignác Kolčák. He graduated at the Conservatory in Žilina, the Department of Accordion. He also studied at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. While studying at conservatory and the Academy of Arts he participated and won numerous international accordion competitions at home and abroad (Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary etc.).

As a concert performer, in collaboration with the State Chamber Orchestra, Slovak Sinfonietta, he has performed some important compositions for the accordion and the orchestra OPALE CONCERTO – R.Galliano, ACONCAGUA – A.Piazzolla, GALILEAN SUITE – M.Zorman and ARMADIO – J.Laco. He has collaborated with leading conductors such as Vladimir Kiradjiev, Simon Chalk, Barak Tal, Oliver Dohnányi, Leoš Svárovský, Pavol Tužinský.

In 2018

he released his debut CD called VIRTUOSO. His debut CD called VIRTUOSO includes classical music and varieties. The compositions are mostly focused on accordion literature. The effect, seriousness and brilliance of the compositions supplies the album with the virtuosity, and it is also reflected in the CD title. This album could be described as a cross-section of works of different genres and character from classical music through varieties to Argentine tango.

In 2019

he was published and introduced in the world book ACCORDION AND WORLD´S BEST CONTEMPORARY ACCORDIONIST and book FROM THE SHADOW OF AN ETERNITY, which was published in New York, Time Square Press Team. The books include interviews with artists and knowledge of music. They focus on the accordion and contemporary accordion performers around the world.

In 2019

Tomáš Valiček created a project called Accordion EXPERIMENT, where he arranged the compositions of Slovak and foreign artists by adding the accordion to the interpretation of music. He has edited Hip-Hop, Rap and Pop style compositions. The project has been featured on TV, radio, articles and interviews.

he was published and introduced in magazines ACCORDION STARS YEARBOOK THEIR BEST QUOTES AND PHOTOS, MUSIC AND ACCORDION STARS: THEIR FAMOUS WORDS and STARS ILLUSTRATED NEW YORK. The magazines was published in New York, Time Square Press.

published in the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PERSONALITIES OF THE CZECH AND SLOVAK REPUBICS. The encyclopedia is maintained under the auspices of BPH – British Publishing House and publishes biographies of important people from a wide range of professions.

he released his second CD called CONNECTION. The works on this album are interpreted in connection with important Slovak and foreign guests, such as Luanne Homzy, Florian Eggner, Eva Varhaníková, Peter Solárik, Pavol Smolka and others. CD CONNECTION brings music of various genres such as classical music, film music, chanson and tango. The unique interpretation of the artists themselves gives the album great sound and new possibilities of the game.

his music and CDs VIRTUOSO and CONNECTION got into Buckingham Palace. He received a personal letter of thanks and his compliments from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

his music and CDs VIRTUOSO and CONNECTION got into company Rocket Entertainment – ​​Elton John, from whom he received a personal letter and a photo signed by Elton John.

He is a member of

the CINEMAGIC band led by violist Roman Rusňák in collaboration with important soloists Mirka Partlová and Ján Slezák. The project is focused on film music.

He is a part of the SLOVAK NUEVO QUINTETO ensemble, which interprets the works of the famous Astor Piazzolla and his Argentine tango in various arrangements. SLOVAK NUEVO QUINTETO consists of the accordion, the piano, the violin, the double bass and the percussion.

In addition to playing the accordion, he also used to play the drums in a band called Every Else from Námestovo. While performing in the band, they recorded an album with their own songs entitled Voice in the head. As an accordionist, he also appeared in a punk-folk band called Cascabel he performed concerts at home and abroad with.

Currently he has several own projects,

where he plays as a soloist. He hosts various other bands and projects, too. He is also a sought-after artist for studio recordings and various music broadcasts.
